Only You
"Only You (And You Alone)" is a pop song composed by Buck Ram and Ande Rand. It was recorded most successfully by The Platters in 1955.
The first recording of the song by The Platters turned out poorly, but after a re-recording, the song scored a major hit when it was released on July 3, 1955. The song held strong in the #1 position on the U.S. R & B charts for seven weeks, and hit #5 on the Pop charts. It remained there for 30 weeks, beating out a rival cover version by a white band called The Hilltoppers.

Chest Voice or Head Voice ?
Your voice is divided into 2 registers called chest voice and head voice.
To find these voices start by singing the lowest note you can and progress up the scale until you find yourself wanting to change into another more "head" based tone. It's important to project your voice forward onto your lips,so as not to strain your vocal chords.
At some point in this exercise you will find that you cannot sing higher using the voice that seems to come from your chest and you will feel the urge to sing from your "head". This is the naturally ocurring break between the registers. Your chest voice will sound big and full by comparison to your head voice which can sound light and perhaps harder to control.
Your vocal range will increase as your voice responds to regular use . The more you sing, the better you sound.
